Ali Omid

Ali Omid was our student at Super Star Educational Center. He was an amazing pupil. His class activity, his homework, his workbook, his grammar bank, his listening were all precisely done during his class presence. He had an astonishing attitude with a nice interaction with his instructors and with his comrades. He was always smiling when he entered his class. He greeted his classmates and his instructors warmly with a deep sense of humor. He was always ready to respond to the teacher’s questions in the class. When I asked a question, he was often the only student who could answer my questions accurately. He studied for more than one year at our center and was known as one of the smartest students among his class fellows.

This semester he was studying Advance A and had a lot of absences during his studies, after three weeks he got permission to take a break to go to Pakistan. I didn’t know what was going on with him, but he was absent for one week, then came back and joined his class again. I asked him about his trip to Pakistan he told me he had had a severe illness to cure. I asked what kind of sickness he had, and he told me that he had a blood problem. His news really shocked me, and my heart started beating faster. I imagined that it must be a very serious illness. I wished him to find a cure and prayed for him to get better soon.

He continued his class for three more days after his Pakistan trip. I noticed that he was having more absences again, so I decided to call his family to find out how he was. I left my last class to go to the office and saw my assistant crying in the hall. I asked her what was wrong. She told me with her mournful eyes that Ali Omid had died.We were all shocked. We learned that he had a blood cancer.

Ali Omid was trying to improve his knowledge to make his homeland a better place. He had a lot of dreams for the future that didn’t come true. Life is much too short for some. I hope everyone can learn to enjoy the moment and give meaning to their lives by respecting others and making a joyful life for themselves while they can, like Ali Omid did.
