Graduation at Super Star Educational Center

The recent graduating session has successfully ended on May 3, 2024. There were about 26 people who completed their studies of English brilliantly. They had a strong interest and motivation to learn English as a second language in order to make a prosperous life, despite this ambiguous and murky situation of Afghanistan. These people were struggling to ignite a candle in a dark room, where nobody can take a deep breath autonomously. Yet, they put their hands together to make a vivid future, to make their dreams come true.

I have been teaching at the Super Star Educational Center in Kabul since 2018. It is an honor to work with Afghan students, many of whom come from great poverty. They travel to the city from remote parts of the country hoping to improve their lives. With their language skills, they hope to attend schools and universities. The students this term learned English well enough to deliver their topics and have the capability to speak in public and have the liberty of speech. These graduates worked diligently on their essays to pass the TOEFL test and gain access to new opportunities. They studied grammar to know the conventions of their second language so they can enhance the ability of new generations through knowledge in the future. They’re eager to show the world their incredible perspectives.

Additionally they seek to alter the old notions of narrow-minded folks by learning new things. These students made the Educational Center of English in Afghanistan a fabulous environment. Their dedication, education and engagement with others was inspiring. These graduates are tired of war, exhausted from being in the prison, bored of having no hope to live well. Some were stuck in their own houses without any plans and imaginations. But now they have new knowledge.

As their teacher, I am hopeful for their prosperity and believe in their abilities to bring peace for our homeland. I powerfully assure our people that Afghanistan won’t improve if we don’t put our hands together. We must work hard and never give up studying and getting education. Our pigeons will fly to the sunny sky of Kabul and our three-colored flag will flutter on the apex of the Arg, the presidential palace in Kabul. Long live Afghanistan.
