The Darkness of Afghanistan

Afghanistan is surrounded by darkness and women and girls are facing this darkness more than others. I had been dreaming of going to university and fulfilling my dreams. But now I am extremely disappointed and injured by the situation created by the Taliban.

My world is dark, and I cannot add any color to it. In Afghanistan, schools and universities were the only free places for women to go outside of their homes. Now we are depressed and disgusted by this unfair life brought about because of our gender.

Life is joyless when you see your dreams fade in front of your eyes and you know you are not able to do anything to change it. Life is passing and we are getting older with no equality in brutal and wild Afghanistan. One day, if I survive this tough period, I will tell everyone more about the pain we experienced which we didn’t deserve and how we cried at the loss of our most basic rights.

For now, living is problematic.
